By Air
Most European countries offer direct flights (typically less than 3 hours) to Corfu during the main season which runs from the 1 May to 31 October. A number of domestic flights (typically 1 hour) operate on a daily basis all year round from Athens and Thessalonica.
By Sea
The island of Corfu is located just off the West coast of Greece and has hourly ferry sailings between Corfu Town and Igoumenista on the mainland. There are also several ferries a week that connect Corfu to neighbouring islands such as Paxi, Ithaka, Kefalonia and further south to Patras in the Peloponnese.
Corfu is also connected by ferry with five of Italy’s Adriatic ports: Ancona, Bari, Brindisi, Venice and Trieste.Brindisi offers the shortest and most frequent crossings.
For private yacht charters, Gouvia marina has long been considered a natural link and port of call between the Adriatic and the Mediterranean Sea. The marina is privately owned and operates all year round.
By Car
From Athens, the distance is approximately 550 km (5 hours drive) to Igoumenitsa – for the ferry to Corfu. From London, the distance is approximately 1500 km (14 hours drive) to Venice – for the ferry to Corfu.
